Below is an example of my process with a published printed product. I start with a rough sketch on card stock that has the dimensions of what I would like the final product to be. I also incorporated where a die cut would go, so I could ensure of correct placement, scale, and that the overall message would translate effectively. Next was a color draft on card stock to see how the colors printed, that bleed lines were placed correctly, and to decide on any style changes to elements that don't transfer as well from screen to print. Last is the final proof, run by the print shop to identify any minor tweaks that need to be made before mass production.
